Brad Paisley [PREVIEW]
By Airi Nakamoto
Country heartthrob Brad Paisley will be coming to Rogers Arena on Sunday February 14th, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Born and raised in West Virginia, Brad Paisley rose to fame in 1999 when he released his debut album, Who Needs Pictures. Ever since, he has become a world-wide country phenomenon as a singer, songwriter, and guitarist. His pure talent has won himself numerous awards including three Grammy’s, two American Music Awards, and over a dozen Academy of Country Music Awards. Not to mention, Paisley has proven to be a country superstar through selling 12 million albums and over 32 top 10 singles on the U.S. Billboard Country Airplay chart.
His last studio release was 2014’s Moonshine in the Trunk, where Paisley pursued a different path by exploring the more positive facets to life. This was a huge departure from his past albums, which focused more on satire, humour, and pop culture references. Most of the songs in Moonshine in the Trunk feature an upbeat and happy tempo that can be seen as a reflection of his current life.
Brad Paisley is on the road again with his Crushin’ It World Tour, in addition to working on an upcoming new release. The second North American leg of the tour kicked off on January 21st in Jonesboro, Arizona, with a stop in Vancouver on February 14th, before concluding next month in Bloomington, Illinois on March 12th. Supporting Brad Paisley will be Eric Paslay and Cam as the opening acts.
