Ellie Goulding [PREVIEW]

Ellie Goulding will be kicking off the North American leg of the Delirium World Tour right here in Vancouver. Goulding will be playing the Pepsi Live stage this Friday April 1st at Rogers Arena.
Ellie Goulding emerged onto the music scene seven years ago, freshly plucked from a talent competition during her time at university. Her debut album Lights propelled her into the spotlight with much acclaim for her blend of electropop and later collaborations with DJs such as Calvin Harris and Skrillex. Goulding has had no problem holding her own with her music, as well as showcasing her musical talents through her live performances – not only can she sing, but she also plays the guitar and a mean drum solo.
Goulding notably topped the charts last year with “Love Me Like You Do”, her most successful single to date from the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack. The song earned Goulding a nomination at this year’s Grammy Awards, which preceded the release of her third studio album Delirium quite nicely. The album is noted as Goulding’s most pop-oriented album yet, with her signature ethereal vocals shining brightly in the singles off the record, including “On My Mind”, “Army”, and “Something in the Way You Move”.
Opening the evening will be New Zealand’s Broods, who have previously toured with Goulding as well as Sam Smith. The indie pop duo consists of siblings Georgia Nott and Caleb Nott, who are currently working on new music with producer Joel Little (Lorde).
Tickets are available through Ticketmaster or in-person at the Toyota Ticket Centre at Rogers Arena.
