It’s a Bread Affair

Our culinary team at Rogers Arena has been hard at work, revamping the food and beverage options to offer our fans. One of our top signature quick service items—The Carve Roast Beef Sandwich—has become particularly popular. However, it holds a story behind it that many of its admirers do not know.

The Carve Roast Beef Sandwich has quickly become a must-have among Rogers Arena guests. Chef Robert Bartley, Rogers Arena’s Executive Chef, is excited to share the story behind the bun, which brings this popular Roast Beef sandwich together.

Devin Manky shoots the Canucks executive chef and other hospitality staff members in their natural habitat at Rogers Arena.

As Chef tried to find the perfect marriage between our Top Grade AAA Alberta Roast Beef—roasted to perfection for every game—and a signature bun to serve it on, he stumbled upon A Bread Affair on Granville Island. There, he sampled many of their offers—all fresh, local, and organic. After a few test recipes and tweaks, A Bread Affair, and Chef Bartley, found the perfect recipe to pair this premium roast beef on.

Introducing: The Caramelized Onion Brioche Roll. Made from 100% organic and local wheat, this bun is a match-made-in-heaven for the Carve Roast Beef Sandwich.
