It’s the start of a new era for Rihanna with the release of her latest album, Anti. She will be bringing the Anti World Tour to the Pepsi Live stage at Rogers Arena on April 23rd.
Rihanna has not been one to take many breaks between albums, but she took a brief hiatus following the release of 2012’s Unapologetic to develop artistically and musically. There was a positive curiosity surrounding the release of her eight studio album, and her vision for the record paid off. Anti was received positively by both fans and critics, with a noted artistry and confidence in her songs. The lead single “Work”, featuring Drake, has heated up the charts and the latest single “Kiss It Better” has been following in its footsteps.
The Anti World Tour kicked off last month in Jacksonville, Florida and will tour across North America until May, before heading overseas for a series of European dates. Reviews of the tour so far have seen a more mature side of Rihanna, both musically and as an artist. Not to say that her days of being unapologetic are over, but Rihanna has definitely grown up – and with eight albums worth of songs to back it up.
Opening the night will be rapper Travis Scott, who previously played the Pepsi Live at Rogers Arena stage last year when he toured with The Weeknd.
Tickets are available through Ticketmaster or in-person at the Toyota Ticket Centre at Rogers Arena.
